Call our Senators and Representatives now
to support meaningful healthcare reform

With the House and Senate both working on their own versions of healthcare reform legislation, and with the details of any final bill far away from being decided, it's still important that we who are interested in meaningful healthcare reform call our Representatives and Senators to express that support.

In fact, with the issue heating up and with both houses of Congress taking action, calling now is probably more important than ever.

So when you make those call, what do you say? Well, according to Organizing for America (OFA), the evolution of the group that ran President Obama's successful election campaign last year, the three principles of healthcare reform are:
  • Reducing rising costs for families, business and government;

  • Allowing all patients choice in their own coverage and their own doctor; and

  • Ensuring that quality, affordable healthcare is available to all Americans.
OFA describes these principles in more detail in this document. Or, for more detailed information you can share with your Senators and Representatives, download this document created last year by the Obama/Biden campaign. (That last document is in Adobe PDF format, so you'll need the free Adobe Reader to view it.)

Then, smile and dial. Here's how to call those serving the Fresno area:

Representatives:

George Radanovich - District 19
Local: 559-449-2490
Washington, D.C.: 202-225-4540

Jim Costa - District 20
Local: 559-495-1620
Washington, D.C.: 202-225-3341

Devin Nunes – District 21
Local: 559-323-5235
Washington D.C.: (202) 225-2523

Senators:

Diane Feinstein
Local: (559) 485-7430
Washington, D.C.: (202) 224-3841

Barbara Boxer
Local: (559) 497-5109

Let's help to implement this important facet of the change we demanded last November. Now is the time.
