If you are unable to participate in the event on Aug. 15, another way you can support the "Back to School Health Fair" is by donating a backpack and/or the supplies to go in them. You are also welcome to make a donation towards the purchase of school supplies and/or volunteer on that day.
School children will be receiving backpacks with supplies at the event. Last year they gave out 1000 backpacks, so donations are greatly needed and gladly welcomed.
Regarding backpacks:
- Backpacks should be the age and size appropriate.
- Backpacks for 7th – 12th graders cannot be red or blue due to the gang color issue.
- K - 3rd Pencil boxes, crayons, pencils, folders, erasers
- 4th – 6th Pencil pouches, pens, pencils, folders, binders, note books, paper, rulers
- 7th – 8th Binders, paper, note books, pens, pencils
- 9th – 12th Binders, paper, pencils, pens
Many stores should be having some good sales on school supplies. Anything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
The backpacks and supplies must be turned in two weeks prior to the event. If you would like to make a donation please have it ready by July 31st.
