Wanna get your hands dirty? Join our 'Call to Action' this Saturday

Connie Peterson, coordinator for our Community Garden "Call to Action," reports that more than 20 people have volunteered to "get their hands dirty" this Saturday on behalf of the West Fresno Health Care Coalition's "Watch Us Grow" project. We'll be conducting a bit of Spring cleaning in its community garden, so the youth of Watch Us Grow can better prepare for Spring planting.

We're proud of the number of members answering this Call to Action. And we invite those those wanting to serve the community while spending a nice morning in the garden to sign up now. As always, it's "the more, the merrier." (So we can have an accurate head count, volunteers must sign up to participate.)

And to help increase V4CF’s visibility in the community, please wear your Obama shirts and "flair" to the Action. Finally, because this will truly be a “hands-on” project, participants are also strongly encouraged to bring their own gloves, rakes, Hula Hoes and other garden tools for their own use. Let's dig in!
