Volunteer opportunities offered at March meeting

More than 25 members braved serious rain to attend the regular Volunteers For Change-Fresno meeting, held last night at the Woodward Park Library in northeast Fresno. After participating in a series of fun communication-building exercises, the group discussed service project opportunities and ways V4CF can support President Obama's initiatives in education, energy independence and healthcare.

Our end-of-meeting announcements included information about several volunteer opportunities. Click any of the following links to download more information:

• March 6: The Recovery Express Rally is scheduled in Fresno.
  

• March 7-8: Camp Courage will be training activists in Fresno.
  

• March 10: Hands On Central California is seeking volunteers to staff the WE Connect event, an initiative designed to connect low-income families with opportuities. Volunteers must sign up ahead of time. For more information, download page one and page two.
  

• March 27-29: Democracy For America is offering training for grassroots activists at its Campaign Academy.
  

• April 25: Members are invited to participate in the Generation Green Youth Serve Earth Day events.
